At Inner-Smiles Orthodontics, we offer high-quality clear aligners in Colorado Springs and Woodland Park for patients looking for a more discreet way to straighten their teeth. If you’re hoping to correct crowding, spacing, bite issues, or relapsed orthodontic movement—with flexibility and comfort—clear aligners may be a great solution.
More and more teens and adults are choosing clear aligners as an alternative to traditional braces. When prescribed and supervised by an experienced orthodontist, aligners offer a healthy, effective way to achieve a beautiful smile.
Benefits of clear aligners include:
Aligners are an amazing tool—but like any tool, they work best when used in the right situations and under the right guidance. Unfortunately, a lot of advertising out there paints an overly simplified (and often misleading) picture of what aligners can and can’t do.
Let’s set the record straight:
Not true. Teeth require consistent, gentle force to move—and most of the progress you make overnight can be undone during the day if you’re not wearing them. For success, aligners must be worn 20–22 hours a day.
Not necessarily. Tooth movement follows biology, not marketing. Moving teeth too fast can cause long-term damage. A careful, steady approach gets better, safer results.
DIY orthodontics is risky. We’ve seen too many patients come in after spending time and money on mail-order aligners—only to need retreatment. Orthodontics is more than just moving teeth; it’s about balancing health, function, bone, and aesthetics. And it all starts with a professional diagnosis.
Clear aligners are a powerful tool, but not the only one. For complex cases, braces or a hybrid approach may be faster, more effective, and more affordable in the long run.
Many general dentists offer aligners—but orthodontists like Dr. Sheila receive 3 years of specialized training beyond dental school to safely and effectively move teeth. Orthodontics is all we do, and we do it at the highest level. You deserve expert care.
Actually, aligners can work for motivated teens and adults. With kids, compliance can be a challenge—because if aligners aren’t worn as directed, they don’t work. We help families decide what’s realistic and effective for their situation.
We are very selective about which manufacturers we use for our clear aligners. They all work similarly to Invisalign® but give Dr. Sheila greater precision and control over tooth movement. Using state-of-the-art 3D planning software, Dr. Sheila designs each phase of your treatment plan to meet her exacting standards.
The aligners are then manufactured in our in-house lab using 3D printed models for a fully customized experience.
Clear aligners are:
We’d be happy to walk you through the process and show you what makes our approach different.
For some patients, a combination of braces and aligners provides the ideal balance of efficiency and discretion. This is called Hybrid Orthodontic Treatment—and it’s especially useful in cases where aligners alone may take too long or fall short of expectations.
Here’s how it works:
1. We start with braces on one or both arches for 4–6 months to resolve major crowding or bite issues. Once the most difficult movements are complete, we switch to clear aligners to fine-tune the smile.
2. For some patients, we can use clear aligners on the top and braces on the bottom for the best of both worlds!
It’s a smart way to get the results you want—faster and with fewer compromises
Clear aligners are a powerful, discreet way to achieve a confident and healthy smile—when used in the right hands.
